Changelog

What changed

Newest first. Plain language, no marketing.

0.1: Public beta

Free beta. Not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm once (see install).

  • Opens PDFs, images, Markdown, text and code, CSV and JSON, video and audio, archives, fonts and 3D models.
  • New look: a calm toolbar that never moves, light or dark to suit the file, labeled buttons, and everything else under More and ⌘K.
  • PDFs: page strip, drag pages between documents, combine, crop, reduce file size, markup you can move and restyle, signatures (also from your iPhone), forms, passwords and printing.
  • Images: markup that stays editable until you save, Instant Alpha, remove background, Adjust Color, Adjust Size with DPI, and nine export formats.
  • ⌘K understands plain phrases like "compress to 2 mb". Zoom keys work like Preview (⌘0 actual size, ⌘9 fit).
  • After an export, a small card lets you drag the result straight into Mail, Slack or a folder.
  • Saves are checked and backed up before they replace your file.

0.0.1: Markdown

Private alpha.

  • Markdown viewer: GitHub tables, task lists, footnotes, callouts, math, diagrams, front matter and an outline.
  • Five reading themes (Plain, GitHub, Serif, Paper, Night), font size, width and typeface controls.
  • Text and code viewer with syntax colors and line numbers.
  • Reloads when a file changes on disk and keeps your scroll position.
  • Tabs, folder sidebar, arrow-key browsing, ⌘K command palette, quick open, ⌘F find.
  • Quick Look and Finder thumbnails for Markdown, JSON, CSV and code.
